Querrey, Johnson give U.S. 2-1 lead in Davis Cup

   Sam Querrey, a San Francisco native, and Steve Johnson routed Farrukh Dustov and Denis Istomin 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 today to give the United States a 2-1 lead over Uzbekistan in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in the Davis Cup World Group Playoffs.
   In Sunday's reverse singles, Jack Sock of the United States will face Istomin, and Johnson will play Dustov. The winner of the best-of-five series will remain in the World Group in 2016, and the loser will be relegated to zonal competition.
   Querrey and Johnson stunned top-seeded Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan in the first round of the recent U.S. Open en route to the semifinals.
