The Vegas Rollers of World TeamTennis seemed to have everything in their favor today.
They were rested after Wednesday's day off and faced the winless Orange County Breakers.
But Orange County, sparked by recent additions Gabriela Dabrowski and Austin Krajicek, swept all five sets and pummeled Vegas 25-13 at The Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.V.
After Vegas (2-2) reeled off four consecutive games to tie the match 8-8, Orange County (1-3) won 17 of the last 22 games.
Steve Johnson and Krajicek dominated Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan (both Stanford, 1997-98) 5-2 to give the Breakers a commanding 15-10 lead at intermission.
Dabrowski, ranked seventh in the world in women's doubles, and Andreja Klepac then crushed Kristie Ahn (Stanford, 2011-14) and Asia Muhammad/Monica Puig 5-0, all but clinching the match for Orange County.
Vegas will return to action on Friday at 12:30 p.m. (ESPN+) against the two-time defending champion Springfield (Mo.) Lasers (1-2).
